Life at Sea in Luxury with Von der Heyden Yachting

The thought of spending a blissful summer in the Mediterranean where the nights are long, the wine is good and the company second to none is probably one of the few things we look forward to every year.

At Von der Heyden Yachting this is not just what we do, its what we specialise in.

Step onboard a timeless work of art, a bespoke piece of iconic Italian design that is a Riva yacht. Our version of this takes the form of a Riva 63 Virtus, 19 meters of refined luxury and style – the ultimate vessel for a journey that will take your breath away. She is an exquisite haven that you can call your own and enjoy the experience of a lifetime.

Our crew are highly trained individuals that understand the culture of luxurious travel, bespoke yachting experiences and the highest standards of service, discretion and privacy.

Imagine how three sun kissed days breaking waves at sea in luxury and style could be yours this summer. Fresh and gourmet is the order of every day when it comes to your cuisine served after sipping on vintage champagne at sunset. Wrap yourself up in sumptuous linen for the evenings’ sea breeze and inhale tranquility. Your remedial exhales and a blissful nights sleep prepares you for the custom day-time adventures the crew has in store for you.

On arrival Captain Nicola will make sure our guests are all familiar with the yacht before embarking to visit Maddalena island in the morning, anchoring off and dipping in the world-famous crystal-clear waters of the Costa Smeralda. After a tantalising swim and perhaps some yoga on the paddleboards, we venture forth to Cala Coticcio, also known as Tahiti by the locals.

At 35 knots Vanquish comes into her own, showing off her speed and agility. This is what she was built to do as a proper speed yacht. You can explore as much as you would like, because on M/Y Vanquish nothing is far away.

In the afternoon there are multiple options, but we love Cavallo island as it is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful places on earth. The crew will take you and your party to shore where you can enjoy lunch at one of the restaurants or the iconic hotel. After an afternoon in the sun and sea, heads will turn as Vanquish moors in the port of Bonifacio to spend the night. This is a magical place with so much to offer for a night out!

Wake up to a delightful breakfast on the aft deck with the cliffs of Bonafacio as a backdrop, the crew canserve up anything your heart desires. After we clear up breakfast, we are ready to head off to Budelli island and explore Spiaggia Rosa in the morning. Here everyone can enjoy some watersport activities with the crew, including paddle boards, a seabob to explore the coastline with snorkels and towable tubes for the adventurous on board.

In the afternoon we will anchor off Spargi island where everyone can enjoy the blue waters for a swim before getting ready to head south and moor in Porto Cervo to spend the night and explore this beautiful town.

On the third day captain Nicola and our wonderful stewardess will show you Spiaggia del Pevero in the morning, Romazzino bay in the afternoon and back to Poltu Quatu in the evening. However there is no set itinerary and everything is as flexible as you would like. Sit back and let a local captain show you the best Sardinia has to offer or choose to see whatever you like. Anchor off for the night or go further afield to other islands in the Med or explore the South of Sardinia. The possibilities are endless, and the crew and team behind them will always put you first to make sure that you have an unforgettable experience that will be remembered for a lifetime.

Von der Heyden Yachting does Cannes Yacht show

Every September since 1977, Europe’s leading in-water boating event takes place in the elegant, majestic surroundings of Cannes.

Our fleet of luxury Italian performance yachts has made waves with bespoke journeys around the Mediterranean in its first season from various magical locations around Sardinia, Italy, France, Spain, the Balearic Islands, Monaco, Turkey, Croatia, Greece, Sicily and Malta. The celebrated Yachting Festival and upcoming Monaco boat shows are the two highly anticipated events in our journey to providing the most innovatively special yachting experiences to our clients.

And just like that, the 43rd edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival came to an end after a fantastic week of luxurious yacht hopping under the French Riviera sunshine, experiencing some of the best performance yachts premiering in 2021.

The enchanting setting of the Cote D’Azur was the perfect backdrop for Ferretti Group to showcase a fleet of 23 yachts, 5 of which made their world debut.

Here are some of the yachts Von der Heyden Yachting had the honour of experiencing for the very first time in history: The Riva 68’ Diable and the Riva 76’ Perseo Super; two stunning yachts which highlight the epitome of luxury design.

An open yacht with a high concentration of sportiness, innovation and liveability, the Riva 68’ Diable incorporates inspiring technological and design innovations, accompanied by the cultured taste for tradition and fine detailing that is the brand’s stylistic hallmark today. One of the main new features and strengths is the new hardtop, with a clean, linear design in which the technical and technological components are hidden from sight, protecting and sheltering the central part of the yacht and the helm station on the main deck.
A feast for the eyes, the new Riva sport-fly exceeds every expectation in terms of design, aesthetics, functionality, onboard liveability and performance. Over 40 square metres of glazed surfaces on the hull and in the superstructure characterise the yacht’s sleek profile and enhance the sporty look of the exterior styling. The mahogany and polished stainless-steel detailing, which has both technical and design functions, pays stylistic tribute to the authentic Riva tradition. One of the main functional design features is the glass roof with an opening forward section positioned over the lounge, letting both light and fresh air into the space below.

This annual spectacle brings together the most prestigious jewels of the seas competing in design, refinement, luxury and technology. With C-19 forcing all shows to be postponed last year, this event was the perfect kick start to the Autumn boat show season and an exceptional platform for all the yachting community to come together once again.

The reputation of this spectacle comes as no surprise when experiencing these beautiful performance yachts first-hand and onboard these works of art. From the interior décor to the exterior craftsmanship, Riva is the quintessence of innovative and functional design. Each with their own personal touch, Riva continues to be a refined, timeless beauty on the water, and we look forward to solidifying this brand in the Maltese Islands.
