Von der Heyden Yachting does Cannes Yacht show

Every September since 1977, Europe’s leading in-water boating event takes place in the elegant, majestic surroundings of Cannes.

Our fleet of luxury Italian performance yachts has made waves with bespoke journeys around the Mediterranean in its first season from various magical locations around Sardinia, Italy, France, Spain, the Balearic Islands, Monaco, Turkey, Croatia, Greece, Sicily and Malta. The celebrated Yachting Festival and upcoming Monaco boat shows are the two highly anticipated events in our journey to providing the most innovatively special yachting experiences to our clients.

And just like that, the 43rd edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival came to an end after a fantastic week of luxurious yacht hopping under the French Riviera sunshine, experiencing some of the best performance yachts premiering in 2021.

The enchanting setting of the Cote D’Azur was the perfect backdrop for Ferretti Group to showcase a fleet of 23 yachts, 5 of which made their world debut.

Here are some of the yachts Von der Heyden Yachting had the honour of experiencing for the very first time in history: The Riva 68’ Diable and the Riva 76’ Perseo Super; two stunning yachts which highlight the epitome of luxury design.

An open yacht with a high concentration of sportiness, innovation and liveability, the Riva 68’ Diable incorporates inspiring technological and design innovations, accompanied by the cultured taste for tradition and fine detailing that is the brand’s stylistic hallmark today. One of the main new features and strengths is the new hardtop, with a clean, linear design in which the technical and technological components are hidden from sight, protecting and sheltering the central part of the yacht and the helm station on the main deck.
A feast for the eyes, the new Riva sport-fly exceeds every expectation in terms of design, aesthetics, functionality, onboard liveability and performance. Over 40 square metres of glazed surfaces on the hull and in the superstructure characterise the yacht’s sleek profile and enhance the sporty look of the exterior styling. The mahogany and polished stainless-steel detailing, which has both technical and design functions, pays stylistic tribute to the authentic Riva tradition. One of the main functional design features is the glass roof with an opening forward section positioned over the lounge, letting both light and fresh air into the space below.

This annual spectacle brings together the most prestigious jewels of the seas competing in design, refinement, luxury and technology. With C-19 forcing all shows to be postponed last year, this event was the perfect kick start to the Autumn boat show season and an exceptional platform for all the yachting community to come together once again.

The reputation of this spectacle comes as no surprise when experiencing these beautiful performance yachts first-hand and onboard these works of art. From the interior décor to the exterior craftsmanship, Riva is the quintessence of innovative and functional design. Each with their own personal touch, Riva continues to be a refined, timeless beauty on the water, and we look forward to solidifying this brand in the Maltese Islands.
