Western Mediterranean
Spain & Balearics
East of Spain lie the 4 distinct islands of Ibiza, Formentera, Mallorca and Menorca, each truly unique and distinct from mainland Spain.
Ibiza and its old capital is full of charm and attracts thousands of clubbers and gay visitors yearly with its uniquely bohemian character. Formentera boasts some of the best beaches in the Balearics and is well known for its rustic charm.
Mallorca is the largest and best known island out of the 4. Here you will find everything from beach clubs on the busier eastern side, to a bustling nightlife in the capital of Palma, as well as beautiful mountains for hiking and lovely old towns and villages. Explore secluded coves and the island’s rich history through musems, cathedrals and art.
Last but not least lies Menorca furthest to the North-East. This island attracts a more covert clientele with its vineyards, natural beaches, boutique hotels and breathtaking resorts in the countryside. There are also the two main towns to explore: Ciutadella and the capital Maó with the deepest harbour in the Mediterranean sea.
